Creative Direction. Design. Advertising.
Twenty years ago, as Creative Director at Atlantic Records, I led the visual direction and design for Talk on Corners, the breakthrough album by Irish band The Corrs. The goal was to create a visual identity that reflected the band’s unique blend of Irish heritage and polished pop-rock sensibility — something that felt both rooted and modern. I worked closely with the band to create a look that captured their evolving sound and helped propel Talk on Corners to multi-platinum status worldwide.
The entire project was a deep collaboration between the band, photographers, stylists, and myself as the designer. Producing a photoshoot overseas was a fun challenge, and finding the Blinkk photography team from London, was a key part in the entire look and feel. Their layered atmospheric style felt very timely. The final packaging fused intimate, moody portraiture with clean, contemporary typography and a logo with Celtic-like style — a nod to the band's Irish heritage. Twenty years later, fans are still talking about the design of this album. I recently learned that some even have the logo tattooed on themselves !
